Who we are
Sanan Alexandarian is a dedicated Speech and Language Pathologist with a strong educational background and extensive experience. In 2007, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders and Sciences from California State University, Northridge, and her Master of Science in Applied Communication Sciences and Disorders from McGill University, Canada in 2009. Sanan is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed in California.
Beginning her career with an externship at the Royal Victoria Hospital and the Montreal Neurological Institute, Sanan later worked at the Outpatient Pediatric Clinic at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital in Canada. Since 2011, she has significantly impacted the private sector in California, founding her own practice in 2024.
Sanan specializes in a wide range of speech and language disorders, including articulation issues, language delays, auditory processing disorders, social communication (pragmatics), fluency disorders, and autism. She also focuses on orofacial myology, which examines how oral and facial muscles affect speech and oral function. By addressing orofacial myofunctional disorders, she helps improve articulation and swallowing through targeted exercises. Currently, Sanan is furthering her expertise through the Myo Masterminds program at the Breathe Institute.
Adopting a family-centered approach, Sanan values the role of families in the therapeutic process and fosters a supportive environment for her clients. As a multilingual professional fluent in English, Spanish, Armenian, French and Arabic, she provides culturally sensitive care to individuals of all ages.
